Theme: The Conqueror’s Mentality
Text: 1 Samuel 17
“Now what have I done?” said David. “Can’t I even speak?” He then turned away to someone else and brought up the same matter, and the men answered him as before. 31 What David said was overheard and reported to Saul, and Saul sent for him.
MESSAGE
Opportunities are always available when there is a problem. Amidst the intimidations, there is the opportunity to shine forth through the problem you face. Every conqueror sees problems as an opportunity to shine.
The man who conquers poverty looks for opportunities to make wealth. Every invention was as a result of the fact that the inventor saw the problem as the opportunity to make it. For example, Thomas Edison identified the problems associated with candles and probably lambs, so He worked on the lightbulbs. David is no exception. He kept making enquiries amidst the intimidation. He may have thought that this was his opportunity to reveal the glory of God and make it in life.
Identifying the problem is identifying an opportunity. It requires the boldness and courage to get ready to face it head-on. This leads us to the next point: be ready to take the risks.
