Theme: Stay Focused
Text: Philippians 3: 12-14
I’m not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don’t get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I’ve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back.
MESSAGE
Obviously, you need to be focused to stay focused. Being focused entails setting your goals and having that charisma to get it accomplished. But staying focused is the character that gets you on the trail to the end.
It is not the beginning of a matter that matters, but the end thereof. Having great dreams and plans to achieve them does not make you successful, it only sends you a signal that you are a potential successful person. Taking advantage of the capability and adding unto it the character, your success story will be announced anytime soon. This process is what Paul defines as pressing on towards his goal.
To stay focused, you need to be focused on your thought, what you hear, what you say and what you do. This is where we will discuss more next week God willing.
