Theme: Stay Focused

Text: 2 Corinthians 10:5

We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

Our thoughts shape our destiny. Whatever you set your mind on, you are gradually transformed to become that. That makes your thoughts powerful.

Most of us lose the battle of winning in our thoughts. When the dream is conceived, we tend to convince ourselves that it is achievable. But upon second thoughts, motivated mostly by external forces, we seem to give up on our dreams. The woman with the issue of blood for twelve years did something extraordinary that got her healing. She thought to herself that I need to get to Jesus. She fought her way through and kept focusing her thoughts on the man with her solution (Matthew 9:20-22). Naaman would have missed his healing if he had kept focusing his thought on the water he was instructed to wash himself in. He came focused on his healing, but the approach of the prophet contradicted with his preconceived expectations (2 Kings 5:11).

Beloved, both needed one thing: healing. The woman had her thoughts focused on her goal but Naaman had his thoughts focused on his self-esteem. Where your thoughts are geared towards depicts the result you will obtain. Thing right and stay focused on making every thought obedient to Christ (the word of God).
