Thanks be to the Father for improvement in technology. Information travels faster in this 21st century thanks to the social media. This gives us access to a variety of information to be processed. Once it has been fully processed, the results are seen in our actions thereafter.
There is a story about King Ahab and Jehoshaphat that gives us an important lesson. Ahab and Jehoshaphat, kings of Israel and Judah respectively, were planning for war against the people of Aram. Jehoshaphat advised that they know what the will of God was, prompting Ahab to call forth 400 prophets. They all prophesied that they will be victorious. However, Jehoshaphat insisted on speaking to the Lord’s prophet. Against Ahab’s wish, Micaiah was summoned, and he spoke of the will of God.
It is not the number of people delivering a message that authenticates the message. The message should be screened by taking note of the source and the integrity of the message. This is very important in our era where anyone can post any message at any time and anywhere. Let’s be focused on what we hear.
