Theme: Responding to God’s call

Text: Matthew 16:24

Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.

God has an assignment for everyone He created. His assignment normally demands Him for accomplishment. He, therefore, needs instruments who are ready to empty themselves of their desires and will.

God has as His aim to give unto us His fullness. He seeks to do this because of His purpose and His pleasure. His purpose sets us the nature of assignment He assigns unto us and his pleasure sets Him up to be fulfilled after the assignment is achieved. It is worth stating that God’s pleasure is not to please his selfish gains but to see that His creations live as He planned them to be. You cannot be filled with the fullness of God if you are full of yourself.

Brethren in the Lord, God in this end time is looking for men with are passionate for His will at the expense of their desires and will. By denying yourself, taking up your assignment and running your race to the end, God’s purpose is achieved and His pleasure is the blessing your assignment blesses others.
