Theme: Responding to God’s Call
Text: Romans 9: 20-21
No, don’t say that. Who are you, a mere human being, to argue with God? Should the thing that was created say to the one who created it, “Why have you made me like this?” When a potter makes jars out of clay, doesn’t he have a right to use the same lump of clay to make one jar for decoration and another to throw garbage into?
MESSAGE
There are also times that we tend to prioritise recognition over the assignment. We may always want things that catch the eyes and receives praises from others. Without an assignment with recognition, we tend to wish we had someone else’s assignment.
Your assignment qualifies you for your preparation. My preparation, exhibited through my life events (both good and tough times), has prepared me for the assignment yours have not. We sometimes are mistaken to think that we could do better than the person who is in place. When that thought is not dealt with, it brings about unnecessary jealousy and rivalry. There is a lot to do in the Kingdom; God chooses as He wills who takes a particular part in His agenda.
There will be front liners in the God’s movement to reposition His creation from the schemes of the enemy. Having released His fullness unto us who have believed in His Son Jesus, He expects us to pick up the peculiar tasks He has given us and make Him proud. Don’t fight for position and recognition; take dominion of the assignment God has given you. We have a charge to keep and a God to glorify. Don’t disappoint God.
