Theme: Responding to God’s call
Text: John 10:27-28
My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never die. No one can snatch them away from me.
MESSAGE.
Establishing a relationship with Him and learning to hear his voice ushers you into knowing His assignment. His assignment describes His will for you.
God in the past spoke to us through the law and the prophets, but in these days He has chosen to speak to us through His Son. His Son is the Word. So God speaks to us through the scriptures. Moreover, the Holy Spirit may also communicate to us through dreams, visions and trans. Through a deep conviction of yearning to do something worthwhile, it may be an indication of the assignment God has given you. This was the case of Sampson. In other circumstances, God may communicate to you through a third party (your pastor, a prophet, or anyone else He may choose to use). In this case, you should be careful to check the authenticity of the message by getting to the source.
In God’s wisdom, He chooses the best way He deems fit to communicate to you. The sheep do not choose what tone or signal the shepherd should give. The responsibility of the sheep is to identify the shepherd’s voice and follow his instruction. God speaks to us and we were made to hear him.
