Theme: Behold

Text: Isaiah 43:18-19

“But forget all that—
it is nothing compared to what I am going to do.

For I am about to do something new.
See, I have already begun! Do you not see it?

It is quite easy to miss out on what lies ahead of you because your focus is on what you have left behind. It actually is impossible to see what lies ahead.

That was God’s message to the people of Judah. Their attention was on what used to be. They were spending much time wishing they could relive the past and enjoy the privileges they used to. But God shifts their attention to the possibilities of a new era by assuring them He was doing something new. The key to the perception of what was happening was to forget about all that used to be. God was doing something that could not be compared to what was. The interesting part of the opening scripture was that the new thing had already begun. Let me use this illustration: the foundation dug on a site gives a hint of the project that is being embarked. If your attention is on the digging of the foundation, you would perceive the building that will eventually be put up. But if you focus on the trees that used to be on the site, you will miss what would be after the completion of the project.

Beloved, God is not about to start what He has promised you. He has already started. The ground has been prepared for the manifestation of His word. You might have not perceived it because you are still focusing on the past. Behold…See it!!! Re-align your focus to what new thing is happening in your life.
