Theme: Behold

Text: Exodus 16:13-15

That evening quail came and covered the camp, and in the morning there was a layer of dew around the camp. When the dew was gone, thin flakes like frost on the ground appeared on the desert floor. When the Israelites saw it, they said to each other, “What is it?” For they did not know what it was. Moses said to them, “It is the bread the Lord has given you to eat.

Yesterday was Thanksgiving and a National holiday in the US. That was a very important day and I really enjoyed it. But then I had something important to reflect on about our scripture that I want to share.

It pays to take a break from all the complains and look out for the new things that are going on. It may be the case that the miracle you are expecting is around you, but you do not know what it is or it may be hidden. The Israelites had asked for food to eat. In the evening God sent them quails and in the morning manna. The manna was covered by dew. Upon the evaporation of the dew, the people could see the manna. When the woke up in the morning, I sure guess they were wondering where their breakfast was, not knowing it was right by their sides. Upon seeing the manna, they asked Moses what it was. Moses then told them that it was their bread, it should be collected and eaten.

God has fulfilled His word concerning your life. It may be the case that it has been covered by the current events that are happening in your life. When the day gets on, the sun will rise and the dew will evaporate. There your promise will be made evident. The fact that you do not see does not negate the truth that God has fulfilled His Word. In the marvel of God’s unique way of delivering His services, you may also ask: what is this? Beloved, in all situations, give thanks to God… for BEHOLD!!!
