Theme: Behold
Text: Matthew 14:22-33
… But the boat was now [b]in the middle of the sea, tossed by the waves, for the wind was contrary. Now in the fourth watch of the night, Jesus went to them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out for fear… And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased. Then those who were in the boat [f]came and worshipped Him, saying, “Truly You are the Son of God.”
MESSAGE
We end the series today. I hope you have learnt a lot. Doubt is the killer of belief. Belief is the sustenance of your will to wait for the promises of God.
Christ knew the disciples were battling with the storm aside them being afraid because they thought they had seen a ghost. With the storms, travelling by boat is risky, how much more walking on it. But upon Peter’s request, Christ made him walk on the sea. God’s word stands sure amidst the storms and the pressures of life. Acknowledging the storms, He still speaks to you with His promises, not to boast about anything, but to reveal His sovereignty to you.
God’s promises are yea and Amen in Christ Jesus. God has sworn to Himself that it will all happen as He has planned. It will be as He has decided (Isaiah 14:24). Has he said and will He not do…Behold!!!
