Theme: Be a blessing.
Text: 2 Kings 7:8 NLT
When the men with leprosy arrived at the edge of the camp, they went into one tent after another, eating and drinking wine; and they carried off silver and gold and clothing and hid it.
Life is meant to be enjoyed and lived to please God. Nothing pleases Good than blessing others with what He gave you.
Today, I want to ask you a simple question. What do you do with your excesses? After you have saved and invested a lot, what do you do with what you still have left? Its never wrong to buy new things, to save or to invest. In fact, the Bible encourages us to learn from the ant; the ant gathers food in the summer in anticipation of the winter. After all, the four lepers ate and drank, took some of the gold and silver and hid it for themselves. There must be tomorrow to plan for and not to be anxious about. However, the question is, what do you do with what is still left in excess.
Lying down in your room may be a pair of shoes you don’t wear any longer, in your closet may be a dress you hardly wear, and so many other things that lie idle in our homes with no usage for them. Moreover, after a fruitful year, you have a little savings to spare and help others. *What do you do with all these excesses?*
