Theme: The Lord, My refuge

Text: Psalm 46:1

God is our refuge and strength,
    an ever-present help in trouble

For no other reason than sticking with the truth, it seems the whole world is against you. Everyone seems to be on opposite ends with you.

When I was a child, I remember I would run quickly to my mother or anyone I could trust to protect me if someone was about to beat me up. Like children, we all want to run to someone we can trust when we are under attack. Knowing the truth is a costly adventure but sticking with the truth amidst the attacks is far more costly. In such moments, it seems natural to side with the attackers and be free. But let us not forget that there is a price to pay for anything that has a reward.

Neglecting or avoiding the attacks may not be possible, but finding a place of you can run to for protection is possible. Who would you run to in case there are these attacks?
