Theme: The Lord, My refuge
Text: Daniel 3:19-30; 6:15-27
Therefore, I make this decree: If any people, whatever their race or nation or language, speak a word against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, they will be torn limb from limb, and their houses will be turned into heaps of rubble. There is no other god who can rescue like this!” (3:29)
Yes, choices tried by troubles produces trust, so expect the troubles to come. Why is that so?
God may not stop the people plotting your downfall from executing their plans. The astrologers may do their best to report you to the king, so you would be thrown into the furnace or den and God would not stop them. He will not even stop Nebuchadnezzar from throwing the three Hebrew men into the furnace nor Darius from sending Daniel into the den.
All along God was with them but had to be revealed. He chose to do so by allowing the troubles to come and then revealed His might through His deliverance. Corrie ten Boom noted and I want to quote; “never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a Known God”.
