Theme: The Lord, My refuge
Text: Psalm 91:5
Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day.
MESSAGE
In Psalms 46, we studied about things we will not be afraid of. We will not be afraid when earthquake comes, when the mountains move into the sea.
Let me categorise these in another way. That will take us to Psalm 91 and the first is the terror of the night. The night is perceived as a period where most evil activities take place. It is the critical moment in the day where plots and schemes are perpetrated for the innocent. They plot their schemes and execute them in secrecy and catch us by surprise because we are unaware.
Terrors are used to intimidate one to subside to their demands, according to the Merriam Webster dictionary. But whatever projections from the camp of the enemy against us to put us in fear, we disengage in the name of Jesus Christ.
