Dead through Sin

TEXT: Ephesians 2:2

in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient.

I want to be really careful about my choice of words. Sin has become a concept, although widely defined, yet difficult to deal with without help.

Because of our disobedience, we were subjected to the domineering power of evil. Through one man’s disobedience has sin ruled through humanity, and our quest to fight this with our strength proved futile. By obeying the devil, the commander of the unseen world, he became the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refused to obey God.

When Billy Graham was once asked, “What is the definition of sin?”, this was his reply: “A sin is any thought or action that falls short of God’s will”.( https://billygraham.org/story/billy-grahams-answer-what-is-sin-are-all-sins-equal-in-gods-eyes/ )
