Text: Romans 5:6-9

You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him!

The penalty for sin was death and therefore the Saviour of our souls should die to save us. Since it was through Adam (a man) that sin came into the world, Christ had to come into the world as a man to have the legal rights to redeem us.

Christ gave up His life in exchange for ours. The life of anything is in the blood. So God purchased our redemption with the blood of Jesus. By the law, a relative (kinsman) could redeem a relative in debt or need (possibly slavery) only when the redeemer settles the debts in full to the custodian (Check Leviticus 27:9-25; 25:47-55). We belonged to God, but we lost our friendship with Him and the devil controlled us. But with the blood of Jesus, God settled the debt and has therefore set us free from the bondage of sin.

Yes, God has bought back your freedom. You enjoy this freedom by simply believing Christ died for your sins and accept the Lordship over your life. Your salvation is a gift; just receive it now.
