Text: Daniel 2:17-18
Then Daniel returned to his house and explained the matter to his friends Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah. 18 He urged them to plead for mercy from the God of heaven concerning this mystery so that he and his friends might not be executed with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.
MESSAGE
Some friendships may not last forever, but each one comes with its own lessons and impact on our lives. But “a real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out”- Walter Winchell.
Daniel found himself in a group of four Hebrew men placed under the direction of the attendant chosen by Arioch. However persuasive Daniel was in His dealing and determined not to defile himself, he got his companions on board. In the moments where he was on the death row, he could call on his friends to help him pray for the revelation of the dream and save their lives.
We do not make friends just because of what we may get from them, but also what we can offer them. The way to the top needs people; some that will push you up and others that want your downfall.
