MESSAGE

Warmest Greetings to everyone that may come across this text. It is a Blessing to enjoy Today, as each second is an opportunity to make impact. I’ve been studying some *pink pages* for women in the Bible… pink pages because most women are associated with the colour pink… if you prefer any other colour to highlight that particular scripture that ministers to you as a woman and on any other issue, you have all the liberty in Christ Jesus to do that.

Our opening scripture directs “older” women on the role they have to live themselves and their responsibility towards others. Each quality mentioned in Titus 2:3 is a package on its own, yet when we continue further, it advices that they should be teachers of what is *good.*

I have heard people say… you cannot give what you do not have and i agree completely. In order to be a teacher of anything, and especially, of somthing good… we must be doers of such good. Let us work on knowing the good and living the *good* and then we can genuinely teach others.

Text: Colossians 3:23-24

Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.

MESSAGE

What we think and hear, affects how we respond in what we say and do. Most often than not, people see what we do more often than what we say.

Consistency in what we do defines how trustworthy we can be. When your actions can be predicted in any circumstance, you have branded yourself with integrity. Actually, God is going to congratulate us on the things we did, and not what we may have wanted to do. In the parable of the talents, He told the first two, “well done faithful servants”. Whatever that you have been doing needs consistency (if that is right). Paul encourages that we do not grow weary in doing good, for in due time we shall reap of its results.

Let us keep being examples to others by staying focused on what we do, exhibiting what we are to the world. As the light of the world, let men see your goods deeds and give glory to God in Heaven.

Text: 1 Kings 22:13-14

The messenger who had gone to summon Micaiah said to him, “Look, the other prophets without exception are predicting success for the king. Let your word agree with theirs, and speak favourably.” But Micaiah said, “As surely as the Lord lives, I can tell him only what the Lord tells me.”

MESSAGE

We may be compelled at times to make statements to please the masses. What the audience wants to hear is what we prioritise over what the truth is. It seems easy to get along that way than to fight the public ridicule of standing with the truth.

Micaiah was faced with the same issue. He had the heads up of what the 400 prophets were saying to the Kings. The messenger advised him to for once, go with the masses and say what they are saying. Mockingly, he said that when He appeared before King Ahab. Afterwards, he revealed the truth to him. The truth landed him in prison. He would have been a free man if he had prophesied like the others did. Probably, he would get the commendation from King Ahab that at last, he said something good about me. But the truth mattered more than the praise and titles.

Beloved, stay focused on what you say. Let’s let our yes be our yes and our no be our no. God’s grace is available to help us

Text: Matthew 12:37

The words you say will either acquit you or condemn you.”

MESSAGE

I begin today’s booster with a comment a friend sent yesterday. “What we feed our mind on registers in our subconscious and can influence us if we are not alert or careful”, was what he sent.

We respond to the things we hear and think through what we say and do. The words we utter carry the power of life and death (Proverbs 18:21), and as such we will be judged by our words (Matthew 12: 36-37). Whatever your heart has stored in abundance, the mouth enjoys its season by letting them out (Luke 6:45). Jesus said, it is not what goes into the stomach that defiles a man, but that which comes from the mouth (Matthew 15:11).

Beloved, in our era of freedom of speech, let’s be careful the words we utter. Our conversation should be seasoned with salt and should encourage, correct and criticise constructively. Be focused on what you say.

Text: 1 Kings 22

But Jehoshaphat asked, “Is there no longer a prophet of the Lord here whom we can inquire of?”

MESSAGE

Thanks be to the Father for improvement in technology. Information travels faster in this 21st century thanks to the social media. This gives us access to a variety of information to be processed. Once it has been fully processed, the results are seen in our actions thereafter.

There is a story about King Ahab and Jehoshaphat that gives us an important lesson. Ahab and Jehoshaphat, kings of Israel and Judah respectively, were planning for war against the people of Aram. Jehoshaphat advised that they know what the will of God was, prompting Ahab to call forth 400 prophets. They all prophesied that they will be victorious. However, Jehoshaphat insisted on speaking to the Lord’s prophet. Against Ahab’s wish, Micaiah was summoned, and he spoke of the will of God.

It is not the number of people delivering a message that authenticates the message. The message should be screened by taking note of the source and the integrity of the message. This is very important in our era where anyone can post any message at any time and anywhere. Let’s be focused on what we hear.

Text:  Luke 8:18

Therefore consider carefully how you listen. Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what they think they have will be taken from them.”

MESSAGE

Words are uttered every second, and we are faced with the challenge of screening what we hear. With the advancement of technology, it becomes easy to get access to information and difficult to screen what you hear.

What you hear shapes your thoughts and what you believe. Some of the Israelites that were en route Canaan decided to return to Egypt. They did so because of the report the ten spies gave about the land they were about to possess. Their hopes and aspirations of enjoying the promise land were shuttered by what they heard. However, those who went on to the promise heard that same report, however, they believed the report of Joshua and Caleb.

Jesus advised that we pay attention to what we hear (Mark 4:24). Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17). And without faith, it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6). Beloved, be focused on what you hear.

and he will give them to you if you give him first place in your life and live as he wants you to.

MESSAGE

I guess I have stated that we should stay focused on our thoughts. This entails setting your mind on something. In the midst of destructions, your mind should be kept busied pondering over it.

The question that needs addressing before the next point is discussed is: what should I set my mind on? I will keep this simple. Set your mind on things above, not on earthly things, as Paul revealed (Colossians 3:2). This does not mean we are not to embark on our various careers or dreams on this Earth. Your assignment on this earth is to live to be a blessing to other people. This means that with who we are, we can help others with what we have including material things. What this means is that we are not to, for example, keep our minds occupied with the latest cars, mansions, etc and neglect the poor and the needy that are around us. Your thought should be consumed with pleasing the Father by focusing on what He loves.

This can never be done if your heart is not on the things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of the Father (Colossians 3:1). How can you set your heart on the Kingdom of God if you have not entered through faith in Christ Jesus as your saviour? So, Jesus advised us to seek first the kingdom of God and its righteousness and all other things shall be added unto us. This morning, God is giving you the opportunity to accept Christ if you have not (kindly read the prayer in faith) and stay rooted in Him if you have not.

Text: 2 Corinthians 10:5

We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

MESSAGE

Our thoughts shape our destiny. Whatever you set your mind on, you are gradually transformed to become that. That makes your thoughts powerful.

Most of us lose the battle of winning in our thoughts. When the dream is conceived, we tend to convince ourselves that it is achievable. But upon second thoughts, motivated mostly by external forces, we seem to give up on our dreams. The woman with the issue of blood for twelve years did something extraordinary that got her healing. She thought to herself that I need to get to Jesus. She fought her way through and kept focusing her thoughts on the man with her solution (Matthew 9:20-22). Naaman would have missed his healing if he had kept focusing his thought on the water he was instructed to wash himself in. He came focused on his healing, but the approach of the prophet contradicted with his preconceived expectations (2 Kings 5:11).

Beloved, both needed one thing: healing. The woman had her thoughts focused on her goal but Naaman had his thoughts focused on his self-esteem. Where your thoughts are geared towards depicts the result you will obtain. Thing right and stay focused on making every thought obedient to Christ (the word of God).

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.

MESSAGE

You are a product of what you think in your heart. All issues of life stem from the heart.

To be able to stay focused, you need to be focused on your thoughts. The mind can wander a lot as it seems to look for various ways to express itself. It may think of alternatives that render your current goal unnecessary. In some instances, it may be true, but in some instances, that may not be the case. Often than not, they mind thinks of an escape route if it has faced difficulties, depending very much on how it is programmed.

What should you be focusing your thoughts on whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable. Keep focusing on things that are excellent and praiseworthy.

And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

MESSAGE

Blessed day everyone.
Today on ladies corner we want to think about a message from Joyce Meyer.
Do we remember the days before digital cameras. When pictures taken were in negatives until processed or taken to the dark room to be washed before we can enjoy the beautiful pictures from the negative copies.
This meant that though the negatives had the images we wanted to see, they wouldn’t be of benefit to us if they are not processed.
This is same with our potentials, until we allow GOD to work on us to process us into Spiritual maturity, our potentials will just remain potentials.
For God to work on you and I to live out to our fullest potentials, we need to TRUST HIM and know that it will take time and patience. GOD IS NOT SLOW TO ACCOMPLISH HIS WILL FOR YOU AND ME.
